Hemlock throughout, a HUUM 6 kW app-controlled stove that reaches 100 °C, and room for four to five guests. What is the 200 rule for a sauna?
It is a rule of thumb, not a standard: add the sauna's temperature in Fahrenheit to its relative humidity and aim for roughly 200. A Finnish-style dry sauna at 90–100 °C sits at low humidity, which is what the HUUM 6 kW stove and the hemlock interior are specified for.
How much does a commercial sauna cost to run?
The dominant variable is the stove. Ours is a HUUM 6 kW electric unit, app-controlled, so it is heated on a booking rather than held hot all day — the single biggest lever on running cost. Your exact figure depends on your tariff and session pattern.
Do I need a licence to offer a sauna to guests?
Usually yes, and it is separate from your accommodation licence. Requirements vary by municipality and comunidad autónoma, and typically cover water, electrical certification and public-liability cover.
Is it cheaper to build a sauna or buy one?
A site-built sauna spreads across trades, inspections and weeks of programme; this one arrives finished with the stove, the interior and the vestibule already in it, and is craned into place. The trade is flexibility for a fixed price and a fixed date.
